Our student creed:
한 Han - I am optimistic. I can set and achieve high goals.
무 Mu - I train to balance body, mind, and spirit.

Optimism - Han Mu Do
Balance - Han Mu Do
Harmony - Han Mu Do
Han Mu Do, the Way of Korean Martial Arts, was developed by Dr. He-Young Kimm in 1989. It focuses on falls, empty hand techniques, weapons, and technical forms. Areas of defense taught include defense against punches, kicks, wrist grabs, cloth and body grabs from the front and behind, and knives. Students learn physical techniques for throwing, locking joints and pressure points, and escorting techniques. Students also learn mental techniques such as Ki (internal energy) breathing and meditation, and are exposed to the thoughtful martial arts philosophy Dr. Kimm built into every Han Mu Do technique.
From HanMuDo.com:
"The physical benefits of Han Mu Do training in our adult martial arts are power, speed, agility, flexibility, and core strength. Weight loss and cardiovascular fitness are all easily achieved through the martial arts. You will also gain life-changing mental skills including discipline, perseverance, and confidence. In all areas of life, success depends upon the ability to set a goal, believe in yourself, and then work hard under difficult circumstances. It is precisely these abilities that we focus on in our Han Mu Do training programs. A person trained in Han Mu Do is one who faces life’s challenges with poise and energy. This is an empowered person who plays an active role in shaping their own destiny."
